Has anyone with pcos and/or irregular cycles tried soya isoflavones?

If so, how effective have they been?

What mg should I try to start off with? I know it's supposed to be taken days 3 - 7 so will maybe try next cycle

Thanks :)

Hi monkey money,

I've tried 120mgs of soy this cycle from cd5 to 9. I have pcos and infrequent ovulation with long cycles. I'm still waiting to ov at the moment tho. I'm also having reflexology to try to kick start ovulation.

You can take it clomid days: cd2-6, 3-7 or 5-9 and double the amount you'd take for clomid.

I had a hsg this cycle to hoping that it has cleared out my tubes. I'm hoping for a bfp before my next fs appointment.

Gl, I hope it works for you x :dust:

Thanks, I've bought the 750mg tablets from holland and Barrett but they only have 23mg active ingredient so was gonna start with 3 a day for days 3-7 and see how I get on so that's 69mg

That a good start?

Mine are from Tesco and 10% soya isoflavones. I took them at the same time each day.
I'd suggest that you start with one or two tablets to start with so you don't over stimulate your ovaries.

X

Thanks, hopefully I'll get pregnant this month then I won't need them, always hope I guess :)

Hi all, took soy first time this month, now on CD14, normally have 35-45 days cycles though up to 75 days has been known in the past! I took:
cd5 - 46mg
cd6 - 69mg
cd7 - 69mg
cd8 - 92mg
cd9 - 115mg

Didn't have any side effects while taking it, although I don't normally ovulate roughly until CD21 (If at all) and then get sore boobs about a week after that, they've already started hurting last couple of days so hoping i've ovulated earlier than usual or it's just a side effect from the soy!
Starting clomid next month, should have just waited but i've had the soy for ages, was just too chicken to take them but kept seeing too many good results, fingers crossed for everyone!
