hey,
ive had really bad pains in my lower back last week after re-decorating which i put down to over doing it. i returned to work today after xmas hols and had pains in my groin, inside tops of legs and pelvis/hip area. the pains have been ranging from sharp shooting pains to dull aches like just before labour. i've also heard and felt a clicking between the top of my right leg and hip. i've been on my feet most of the day at work due to the nature of my job. i've been googling the symptoms and think it may be spd. i didnt experiance this throughout pregnancy and LO is almost 8 months.
has anyone experianced spd AFTER childbirth?
is it something that will go away eventually?
can it be treated/ is pain killers the only route?
i intend to try and get in the docs after work tomorrow, but any advise would be appreciated as it's difficult to get an appointment at our surgery.

Hiya,I had bad SPD when I was pregnant with Harvey,it got a little better after birth but still hasnt gone,I still suffer with it now if ive walked too far or esp when Ive been sitting down too long.I was told there are exercises that you can do,I think the doctor can give you a sheet with them on.

I was quite lucky, I had it really bad when I Was pregnant but literally a week after I had given birth it was totally gone. A physio can help you both before and after the birth and if that fails sometimes its because your pelvis doesn't re-align which a chiropractor can help you with

thankyou both for your replies.
couldn't get a doctors appointment on tues. was sent home from work early tue and not in weds due to snow so spent the extra time resting, which seems to have helped a bit. i had no symptoms yesterday but towards the end of the working day today it started occuring again. i'm going to see how i go after the w/e before visiting the doc, se if they can give me those exercises it's not easy getting an appointment atm though.
