We have decided on Dexie/Dexy as a first name for a girl.

We have also decided to use my Nanny's name (kinda) for a middle name. Her name is Marcella which I really don't quite fancy, so I have decided to split it up into two middle names Marcie and Ella.

Now we are struggling with how to spell the first name and what order the middle names should go in.

(Dexie Kelly)
Dexie Marcie Ella Kelly
Dexie Ella Marcie Kelly

(Dexy Kelly)
Dexy Marcie Ella Kelly
Dexy Ella Marcie Kelly

I know you don't like Marcella but I think dexie Marcella flows really well. Out of the other options I like dexie Ella Marcie

I agree with the PP. Marcella does add a nice flow to the name- four two-syllable names sounds a bit choppy/sing-songy.

I think Marcie Ella flows much better as it kind of just sounds like one name, the other way doesn't work as well. I also prefer Dexie as it looks more feminine and anything ending in -exy kind of just looks like a typo for 'sexy' to me... but that could just be me. :haha:

I like Dexie much better than Dexy.
Dexie Kelly in itself is quite rhymey, and adding a Marcie to it just really clashes imho. I'd stick with Dexie Marcella Kelly sounds really nice together, but out of your options I like Dexie Marcie Ella Kelly.

Is there a name you could go with that shortens to Dexie? I'm thinking along the lines of Alexa nn Lexie type thing...just a thought?
