Hi everyone
My oh is going for sperm analysis in ten days and wer not sure if I can go in with him to Erm help lol as itl take awhile if he's on his own lol

Thank you xx

Hi Sammy

I'm not sure on the answer to this question

My husband is having his sperm analysis at the end of November and he literally has just got a time slot to hand it over. If he wants to do it at the clinic they only have the male toilets to use, I know I wouldn't like to go in there lol. Because it's just a drop off time slot which I think generally these appointments are just to drop off the sample, he's doing it at home and heading straight to the clinic with it in his pocket!

Hope this helps but if not I'd call the clinic/hospital and ask what the appointment is actually for, does he just have to drop it off or produce the sample there etc

Good luck

Hi thanks for ur response. I think his is a appt as his form states that its better to give the sample at the hospital rather than at home? Are u with the nhs? U have had a long wait for ur appt!
Surely it's to be expected that they may need a hand so to speak.
Xx

That's exactly what I thought when we recieved the appointment so I gave the clinic a call and the receptionist said the appointment is to hand the sample over so that they get the sample to the lab in the short time frame they have and it's not nessecerially an appointment to go and produce it. It may be different at your clinic though so I'd definitely give them a call. I feel very sorry for my hubby having to do it by himself lol

Yes I'm NHS funded and the appointment is VERY far away, its ridiculous. I just have to keep telling myself its so that the sample is VERY up to date for my consultation, which I don't actually have yet :-S Very frustrating!

We're with nhs as well and the first available appt was 6 days time! Ur wait is horrific. I just can't wait to finally get help :)
We def need to check then cos otherwise itl waste more time. Thanks xx

Hi, I think it depends from place to place as to whether you are able to join him, I'd ask :flower:

My hubby does his second SA at a different lab than the first one, on Tuesday. Instructions were no BD for at least 4-5 days and no help from partner. They gave a specific time to drop off as well.

Good luck ladies!
