I am very new to this site and am not sure what to expect from it, but my cousin referred me to it so here I am. My husband and I had been trying for a year when we decided to get some testing done. Turns out I had low progesterone level, which the Dr. said we could help raise pretty easily. Yet, after having my husband tested two times, they found no sperm in either sample. He met with the Urologist and after much discussion and options, he told us we could spend tons of money on tests for him in order to try to find some sperm, if any. But he suggested taking the sperm donor route or adoption. After many tears and mourning the idea of us ever having a biological child of my husbands, we decided together to try sperm donor. We have done two IUI treatments at our fertility clinic without success. Just hoping someone has had luck with sperm donor and can give suggestions and offer me some hope for success.

Hi Dancer

I'm really sorry to hear of the problems you are having. You are right that it is a grieving process and unfortunately there are several of us going through this right now. I set up a thread for those of us dealing with azoospermia (no sperm found) if you'd like to join us. We are all at various stages of the process.

Hope you can drop in - just click on the link below
