Spitting up

My little guy is only 4 days old. We are feeding him 1 to 2 oz every 3-4 hours, oz's depending on how much he takes. (He has never taken a complete 2 ozs) But my concern is that he is not eating enough, and on top of that he is spitting up as well. What should I do??

my dd was only taking 30mls (1 oz) at a week old every 3 hours. Gradually she took more. She was small 6lb 4oz so i didnt expect her to eat as much as her brother did (8lb 10oz). shes no 3 weeks and taking 3-4 oz every 3 - 4 hours. U will find your baby increases thier apetite week by week when they are small. u shud get him weighed weekly and if he is putting weight then he's taking enough milk.

At first Violet would take 4oz and everyone was saying it's a lot.. But they didn't take into account she was going 5-6hrs between feeds. So brake it down and it'd be 2oz every 3hrs. She gained weight perfectly fine x
