spoon fork???

when was it that your child started to use a spoon and fork. i give josh one in the morning with his cereal but he just tips the bowl after a bit and bangs on it which i cant help but smile

any ideas ????

We started offering it right away, though he didn't use it correctly for awhile. I guess right around 1 is when he started using it right but was still really messy. He's 20mo now and he uses it all the time, sometimes if he gets frustrated he will grab the food with his hand but we stop him and remind him to use his fork, he does really well now
