Spotting 9-14dpo

Hello ladies,

This is my first time on this forum, but I think I'm driving the hubby a bit mad, so wanted to ask the advice of people going through the same thing.

I'm now 14dpo and have been having brown spotting since 9dpo. I've needed a pantyliner, but that's all. A couple of times I've had a red streak when I've wiped and thought af had arrived, but then it goes back brown again. It's got a little bit heavier the last couple of days, but af still hasn't arrived. I am never early, so was really surprised to have spotted so early on.

About 3-5dpo I was feeling really rough, very fluey and achy and thought I was coming down with something. My breasts are tender and I think my nipples may be slightly darker. I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is implantation bleeding or just af being a right old pain!

I've taken two tests (one this morning) and both are BFN.

Any words of wisdom anyone?

Hi there,

Just came across your thread when doing a search for exactly this issue. No words of wisdom to add, other than the fact that I am experiencing exactly the same! Not sure exactly how many dpo I am, but I am currently on day 6 of spotting, and AF is due this Thursday. Normally have a 24 day cycle - completely regular with no spotting - at the very most I get one day of slight spotting the day before AF arrives.

What I'm experiencing is just the same as you - brown spotting, with occasional red, and each time the red appears I am pretty convinced AF has arrived, but she hasn't done yet. I've been quite crampy on and off, but no other symptoms other than feeling a bit icky, which I'm well aware I could be imagining!

Has your situation progressed any further? Have you done any more tests? I'm trying to hold off testing and will only do so if (and that's a big IF) AF doesn't get me on Thursday!

Hi girls. I started TTC in Feb. and I had spotting from 6DPO for a week and then AF came. I had spotting this month that started at 4DPO, lasted every day for about 5 days, gone today. I have never had this happen before TTC so it's so strange. I called my doc and she tested my progesterone levels, those came back normal. Today had blood drawn for thyroid activity, waiting for results. Details posted in my journal.

i went through the same thing last week..... now af was due yesterday and nothing. With everything I've seen on here it seems to be a good sign. as long as you don't start bleeding alot stay calm...

my breast stopped being sore for a day then came back...FX....hoping it's our bfp

Aww I'm in the same boat I just posted (13DPO) started brown spotting at 9DPO and itd dtill here today I only need a liner or two a day I'm not due AF until tomorrow and they are like clockwork always have been. I got a BFN this morning with a pound test, but I'm thinking it might be too early or test not as sensitive I don't know just clinging onto hope I guess lol

Hi girlies,

I soooo sorry I haven't replied sooner - I didn't realised that anyone had responded to my thread!
So if turns out it was af. Was the weirdest thing, I've never experienced anything like that before. Hope it was just a one off and things will get back to normal this month.

How have you ladies got along?

Hiya girlies, i had this last mnth brown spotting and a week late for af and then boom she came out of nowhere on day 7 of being late!cant give an explaination for it its only happened to me once,strange though that ye all have it too,maybe it just the stress of ttc and messing up our thought process?! gl to all x

aww no i had brown spotting since last thursday, its stopped today (i think) im due AF today so we will see, i did a clear blue +/- test yesterday which was faintly positive, but have read so much about bad evaps am starting to doubt it, so took an FRER yesterday afternoon and was negative, so i dont know what to think :/

Milly28 - I suspect the same will probably happen to me (if AF doesn't show tomorrow) - how frustrating.

I am still hanging in there! My situation is still exactly the same - still spotting, now on day 8. AF is due tomorrow, Friday at the latest. Mine are very regular, only differ by one day - always a 24/25 day cycle. I have no symptoms other than the odd cramp, but I'm sure that I usually feel more like AF is coming the day before she arrives than I do today. Ah well, we shall see what tomorrow brings.

I'm goin to test again either the weekend or next week I think only because I read yesterday that, if the spotting is in fact IB, the a positive test won't show up until atleast a week after the spotting stops maybe even 2 so I still have hope lol AF was due yesterday but nothing

Yesterday I checked my cervix it was high and soft, but not I'm spotting again... What does this mean... I guess it back to doing research.

Yesterday at my appt. my doc told me that my spotting could be simple due to hormonal changes. I wasn't satisfied with this answer, but it's all I got. She said after ovulation certain hormones sky-rocket and it can cause spotting. ((Umm..why hasn't it happened for the last 18 years??))

Well AF was 'officially' due today and not only was there no sign but my 8 days of spotting has actually come to an end. Also, my BBT shot up this morning - is anyone else temping? My temps have been higher than the rest of my cycle for the last 5 days, consistently around 36.4-36.5, and then today I was expecting a drop for AF and they have increased further to 36.8! That's a massive spike on my chart, although I know you can't put too much faith in one single temp reading.

Hi there! Awesome news!! I will keep FX for you! I am also temping. Last cycle my temps for the last few days of my cycle were barely above cover and stayed exactly the same for like 5 days. This cycle they have been a little more up and down, and mine went up a bit yesterday & a bit today, too. (Though they were low before that so it's not like they are "high" now, just higher than before.) Af due tomorrow so not long to wait!

ladies mind if i join in here...Hello ladies,CD39 – 13DPO for me today..same old dull af like cramps on and off.. checking my cervix yesterday I noticed that my lady part was swollen It was a little hard to insert the finger to check..nothing else to report…af is due for me tomorrow or Saturday….
no spotting today only white creamy cm only on wipe, yesterday @12dpo it was brownish cm also felt kinda wet down there though af is on her way but it was brownish cm...
on 12dpo i did test in morning and it was positive for 2 minutes then the line disappeared...
there was no signs only af like cramps here and there...dry kinda cm checked on panty it was whitish yellowish color and plenty of heartburn and burping.....

Well i have been spotting since 5dpo - i am on 8dpo now - it starts out dark red then trails off to brown, it has only lasted an hour or so, the first two day it happend at the same time in the morning and the last 2 days its happened in the late afternoon. I have a panty liner on and nothing gets on it. The first 2 days i felt wet and went to check out things and it was in my underwear, and today that happend too but when i put on a panty liner nothing gets on it at all....it is sooo strange. Af isn't due until 29....i have some dips in my chart (you can see it if you click my ticker) but nothing drastic. I am lost on this whole situation cause this has never happend to me, I have no other symptoms at all...but really want the BFP!!!
