spotting

So I'm on the pill, I take it without stopping in between packs (which my doctor said I could do)

My period was supposed to be about almost 2 weeks ago, but I didn't stop my bcpill. Now, I'm spotting. Though it's only sometimes during the day. It's not like a constant spotting! What is that? I've taken the pill without stopping before and it never did that. What can cause this?

This is completely normal if you take packs back to back, nothing to worry about, but if it gets heavy or last really long I would speak to doc.
