I've heard of milia where it's white spots but Darcy seems to have red spots all over her forehead and also on her cheeks just under her eyes. Just wondering if that's normal and if there's anything I can do to help them go?

Ryan has something similar on his cheeks, not sure what it is or how to get rid of it but it doesn't seem to bother him.

Baby acne is normal for the first few weeks... It's from your hormones. Nothing you can do, they'll just fade away on their own.

If it persists and there are other symptoms it could be a sign of allergies. Our 13 week old is still spotty and it's presumed he is intolerant to a lot of foods (through my milk)

My LO had it pretty bad for the first 3-4 weeks. Like pp's have said, it's just hormones leaving their body. My MW also said it's more coming with babies that are born early- my little boy was born at 36+6.

Yup, totally normal. They are like aliens at first in an unfamiliar climate. It takes a good while for their skin and systems to adjust to being in air rather than water.

Leave it well alone and it should clear up soon enough. (Then she'll probably get cradle cap!)

Somehow none of this stops them being gorgeous! And your beautiful baby is no exception!

My LO had so many manky spots and rashes to start, but at 14 months now, her skin and hair are gorgeous - my little alien turned into a little human. :haha:

It's called erythema toxicum, the name is horrid but it's perfectly harmless and as the others have said just their skin getting used to being outside

My midwife said that it's just like them going through a mini puberty. Just from our hormones.
On the really sore looking ones I dab a little breast milk and the next day they don't look so sore. I know this sounds bad but I experimented by putting it on just one side of baby's face the first time I did it, and the next day comparing both sides of his face was crazy, it really did make a huge difference. My DH couldn't believe it. He also suggested to stop "experimenting" with our newborn :haha:

Oh my seven month old had this terribly when he was very young! It went away by itself and his skin is gorgeous now x

Totally normal! My first had it terribly, but I just left it and it cleared by 5 weeks. For my second and current newborn I wipe their face every day with a wet warm wash cloth and they barely got any spots. I was given that tip by my SIL, she says it opens their pores. Worked for her and us, might want to try it!
