When my son his nursing, he will sometimes twist his head to the side (so he is face down in my arm) repeatedly.
He also does this with his pacifier (causing it to fall out and him to get upset) when trying to get to sleep.
He sleeps in my arms or on my chest. When he is asleep even without the pacificer, he will often thrash his head side to side (like he is looking for a nipple, with or without pacifier) at the beginning of the night, and then the last couple hours of the night he does this every couple minutes. Isn't interested in boob at these times and will do the same thing if I try to feed him.
He won't sleep without being held (nap or bedtime). I don't know why he is doing this so much but it is causing both of us to have a terrible sleep.
Anyone have experience with this or thoughts? ETA: he is 2.5 months old
