I tend to keep unsociable hours sleep wise. I went to bed approximately at 6am and was woke at half 7 with pain in my lower tummy. At first I thought BH but it was nothing alike. Through the entirety of my pregnancy BH had my nipping to the loo and passed within a mere 30-90 seconds. The s'morning it was it was a constant dull ache that sharpened at peaked for 30 seconds at a time to the point I'd scowl and clench my teeth. My Mum (a nurse) came in from nightshift and I asked for her opinion she felt my tummy which was rock solid. It fizzled out after 30-45mins and I didn't bother with maternity assessment as I had my 36 week midwife appointment today. Midwife was quite dismissive and just said BH.

I was just wondering what it could have been or if any of you ladies had a similar experience because I could swear it didn't feel like BH at all. Thanks!:flower:

I quite often get pains like that at the moment and have been for a week or so now, but I am due today so I have been taking it all as false labour, or my bnody laying the groundwork if you get me. Sometimes I just get BH which are painless, sometimes I get pain but no tightening, and then the last 3-4 days at some point tI have had these sharp pains and tightenings combined that last 30-45 seconds each and are 5-10 mins apart for about 1-2 hours and then fizzle out.
Personally I am convinced its the beginning of something but how long this can go on for I have no idea as I didnt have a natural labour with dd so this is all new to me too!
