Ive started bleeding today ive gone up to my gp and its a 2hr wait they have turned it into a walk in how shit is that OH is kicking off about it he want me to move me and our girls to a different drs

Can u not go straight to a &e that's what I would do. Good luck!!

I agree, a gp can't really do much tbh as they don't have any equipment. Tbh a&be won't do anything either other than refer you to a maternity triage to get checked out - does te hospital you are delivering in have one of those? I'd give them a call. Failing that call NHS 24 for advice. Good luck.

I'd ring your mw or go straight to hospital

Midwife is away in holiday i called comunity midwives and they couldnt help me just pit me through epau and epau said i need a referal off my midwife or gp im just being passed around in a big circle

That's absolutely ridiculous! How helpful of them!
Can you go and explain to the receptionist and see if you can get seen sooner?

Same thing happened to me, around 18 weeks andafter lots of going round in circles the gp found a Doppler and had a listen. The problem seemed to be there is nothing in place for women between 13 and 20 weeks with a bleed. I'm doing fine now, the consultant wasn't concerned and said it was probably just because I was on blood thinners that a small tear had bled excessively. Your gp should be able to phone the hospital. Hopefully there is better provision in your area. My epu doesn't scan anyone over 13 weeks. It took 2 days and lots of chasing to get a Doppler used.

Ive done that but they said the go my the first on the list is first seen but the best of it is theres a big family there with kids running around having a family gathering and u iver heard the mom tell some there that the kids have verucas in there feet i mean wtf i feel like screaming at the daft cowb

Good luck try not to stress ive been bleeding every day since 9 weeks. X

Where I am, epu won't see you after 12 weeks. After this stage it is maternity you need to be seen by. I actually had a bit of trouble when I had cramping at 14w (severe cramping which felt just like a miscarriage) and I seemed to be passed from pillar to post to be seen to. Luckily it was the day before a scheduled scan so they just checked me over the next day but it was still scary! Bleeding is not totally uncommon so try not to worry. The problem is they probably won't listen in to baby so early (most places don't before 16w at earliest) and there is not much they can do to reduce bleeding or prevent a problem happening unless it is a cervix issue. It is SO frustrating because it feels like no-one is helping!

After almost 3 hrs i got a scan booked tomorrow

I just turned up at delivery suite at 16 weeks when I had my bleeds they wont turn you away

My hospital will turn away anyone without a referral. They are over subscribed and consider bleeding a non-issue at that gestation unless you've passed clots the size of a 50p. The consultant was angry the GP even phoned her over what she considered to be a non-issue. I bled for 24 hours. The GP was unhappy with her attitude but as I was under 20 weeks and over 13, there was nothing else he could do. What happens varies a lot by the NHS trust you are under.

Glad you have a scan for tomoro hun and best of luck for it i hope everything is ok xxx
