Starting 2nd round of Follistim injections w/trigger shot 7/31 anyone else???

DH & I have been TTC 3 years, to the month & are now on our 2nd round of Follistim injections w/ovidrel trigger shot. I would love a buddy to go through this with &/or any success stories.

Well, it may just be me, but I still want to write this. HOPEFULLY, I'll get my & someone that goes through this later, will get some encouragement from my story...if anything it's just sort of nice to talk about it...even if it's just to myself.

Today is CD3 and I will be starting my injections tonight. I also had an internal ultrasound this morning, and no cysts , which I've never had before. I have an ultra sound 08/08 to see how my follicles are growing.

hun I done a roun of Merional injectables last cycle I had 3 follicles an had a scan and I had ovulated 2 before the trigger shot, unfortunately

This cycle I have a cyst im cd16 on a natural cycle :/

Hoping for no cysts so I can start my second round soon

Do you normally have longer cycles?

Is Merional similiar to follistim? I've never heard of it before.

Think it's similar? It's the same as Menopur
Does the same job getting us to ovulate

Yes, we'll had ovarian drilling in jan, had no meds in may as I was on holiday and had a natural 30day cycle so hoping this natural cycle will be the same fx'd!
Before the ovarian drilling they would be long yes...

What are your cycles like?

I will be starting Follistim injections with the ovidrel trigger for the first time once af shows her ugly face. I cannot believe how expensive it all is! I am hoping to have my first ultrasound/lesson on injections at the end of the week. I am really hoping this will work!

scerena-My cycles are usually any where from 28-30 days. So pretty normal.

abrock-When are you supposed to start? Today is my 2nd day of shots. I'll do 50IU CD3-6 and then 75IU CD7-11. Then my ultra sound on CD12. Do you have any idea what your "plan" is yet? Does your insurance cover any of it? Thankfully, mine covers all but $105.00 of my medication and I only have to pay $30 a visit. We do have to pay 100% of the IUI though, which is like $300.00. That's why we did timed intercourse last month, but the doc seems to think, basically, it's a waste of our time and money to do TI...bummer...

I am in shock...af was due 5-7 days ago...I figured my body was playing an evil trick on me delaying my period...I figured I would test so that when I called the infertility clinic I could at least tell them for sure I wasn't pregnant...it came back positive. I went out and bought another. Pregnant. I can't believe it. I have over $600 worth of fertility meds in the fridge but who cares. I wish u ladies baby dust! I never thought it would happen for me. Really just didn't think it would....I still don't believe...

Oh, nothing too exciting just yet. My meds have been making me pretty tired though and yesterday I was really dizzy. How about with you?

What cd are you now? Are you having regular scans etc?

I'm good just relaxing hoping my cyst has gone for next cycle so I can go back on my injectables

Hey scerena! I am currently on CD12. I went to the doc today for my blood work and internal ultrasound and I have 3 follicles that could potentially release mature eggs, 23cm, 20cm & 14cm. They injected me with my trigger shot and so tomorrow DH and I are going to get an IUI done! I plan on starting to test on the 19th, which I know is early, but I won't contact the FS unless after a couple of testS the gets darker instead of lighter(I know I'm a gluton for punishment). I'm really really hoping it works! My birthday is on the 25th and that would be an amazing birthday present!!!

How are things w/you?

Well, had my IUI on Thursday. DH had over 98 million post wash. So here's hop'n and pray'n one of those millions bumps into at least 1 egg!!!
