Without going into to many boring details I have been ttc 6 years with PCOS and after struggling with my weight I have been at a 26 BMI for a year now with regular cycles and still no BFP. My RE did all the tests and my DH and I come back with great results.
I told her my cycles have been regular 32 days for months with positive OPK at CD 18. Of course my luck this cycle I dont think i got a positive OPK as I couldnt trust the new Advance Clear Blue Easy (the one that tracks 4 days before ovulation) When I finally started testing with the cheap line test there was nada! Now 7 DOP(CD 18 MD ultra sound looked like I would O on CD 20 so that what I am using for DPO) the lines have been gettting darker and now beat the control line. I dont know what this means and dont understand how the MD could have been wrong judging when I would O. This makes me nervous to spend all this money for the Colmid IUI cycle if I cant tell when I actually O.

Please anyone who has a story share. I am kind of lost right now.

I missed my ovulation date 2 months before my first Clomid/IUI, and I had the same freak-out that it would be a big waste if I missed it when it counted.

Two bits of advice:
1) Get 2 different testing methods for the week or so leading up to your expected ovulation time. Use one in the morning and one later in the day. For the afternoon/evening one, just make sure you hold your pee for long enough (4 hours should be good) to get a strong reading. I used the Clearblue Easy monitor each morning and a cheapo test strip each evening. The combination is nice, because the test strips can show you when the line starts darkening, and the digital test is helpful for telling you definitively when it's dark enough.

2) Talk to your doctor. They can certainly do some testing for you along the way to make sure you're not missing anything. It's annoying and expensive to go to the doctor every other day for a week, but it might be worth the peace of mind.
