Wooohooo, well, finally, my period has arrived and I start my first cycle of clomid tomorrow after losing our little angel back in July.

I'm so excited I could burst, been 2 months without a cycle (I have PCOS)and I've never been so relieved to have my monthlies here.

I hope we're lucky this month and the order of my month is to stay calm, have lots and lots of rumpy pumpy with my fantastic hubby and pray to the stork.

Anyone else on a similar journey and fancy buddying up?

Gonna be starting round 2 on clomid, this month on 100mg of clomid.
What is your dose of clomid? what days do you take it?
I have been having a bugger of a time getting my AF...have to take BCPs to induce it..only 2 days left of those pills then should get AF a few days later. I really hope she shows up fast so I can get going on this next cycle and get one step close to my BFP

not sure if I'm close enough to your schedule to be your buddy, but i'm here if you'd like

Im starting my first round of Clomid.....now! :happydance: :yipee:
Ive been told to take it just before I go to sleep, so here goes......!!
My story is we've been trying to conceive for 4 and a half years with a few false starts and lost hopes behind us.
I have PCOS too and its been a case of getting my hormones ready for me to start Clomid.......and now the time's right!
I'm already on 1500mg of Metformin and Ill be taking 50mg Clomid days 2-6.
We'll be going through it at exactly the same time, so it'd be great to buddy-up! :hugs:
Wishing you all the luck in the world and :dust:
Lotsa love, Helen x

We can do this, you're so right B2B :)

I'm currently on CD4 and 3rd day of Clomid which I'm on until CD7. I'm on 50mg too, so here's hoping.

I was put on metformin to start with when first diagnosed with PCOS, however, my insulin levels are not affected and I wasn't overweight, therefore, I didn't actually quite know why I was put on metformin and the only answer I could get were "it's what we prescribe for people like you on metformin".

Was told to come off it when we fell pregnant in July and wasn't told to go back on it either???

We very sadly lost our little angel, Douglas on 23rd July, which we miraculously conceived ourselves which was a shock given I apparently don't ovulate!!??

Here's hoping to a successful first round of Clomid, but if not, then fingers crossed for rounds 2 & 3.

Would be great to buddy up if you're around the same time Helen, will drop you a PM with my email address.

Born 2 Be a Mummy - hope you find someone around the right time when it's your turn too.

Good luck to you all.

Fran :)

I meant to also ask, what side effects, if any, are any of you ladies having / have you had?

I've got hot and cold flushes, I'm very teary, my eyes are a bit blurry and generally I'm just feeling very spaced out!!??

Hey Fran,
I too am on CD4 and day 3 of Clomid. The only symptoms I have, is a really niggly headache that won't budge, blurred vision and my AF has completely gone!! I took my 1st Clomid on the evening of CD2 and by the morning (CD3), there was no AF!! (sorry if tmi!) Strange side affect, but hey ho, its not the worst thing that could happen hey?! :haha:
You should check out my journal, and it'd be great to buddy-up!
Lotsa :hugs: and :dust: to you and pleeeeeease, lets be 2 Clomid success stories together!!
xxxxxx

Hey hon, just been and read your journal and posted a little too.

I didn't even make it in to the office today, I feel truly ill, my eyesight is all wonky, my head is killling me and I generally just feel really spaced out - hopefully all these side effects bugger off after the last day tomorrow.

Would be magical to have 2 success stories together eh?

I cannot comment on the AF experience you've had as mine usually only ever lasts 1 day or 2 whenever they actually decide to turn up.

Speak soon,
Fran

Oh no, stuuuupid Clomid! You poor thing! :dohh: Thankfully the side affects for me have been minimal! They're there alright.....but minimal!!
Thanks for the PM, gonna grab myself a cup of coffe :coffee: and get some smoke coming off my fingertips to reply
Ae you going to start a journal in LTTC journals too? It reeeeally helps you know! I know its taken the pressure off Declan, like instead of saying "Declan, WHY has my AF gone.....why, why.......WHY?!!!" Poor man :haha: I just post it on my journal instead and feel instantly better!!

Hope you're feeling much better later!
Lotsa get well wishes and "CHEERS" to us both taking our last tabs tomorrow!!
Helen x
