Starting clomid tonight any advice plz??

I'm starting my first round of clomid tonight and although I've been desperate for this day to arrive now it is here I'm scared about some of the harsher symptoms I have read about any advice? Or success stories to boost my mood? X

The only side effects that I had was spotting during the tww, but only the first cycle. The 2nd was fine, and I'm just starting 3rd.
I was a bit emotional last month but there were some other factors that played into that so I'm not sure it had anything to do with clomid.
Oh, and I also find that I get some night sweats, but only on the days I take the pills. Nothing a fan and shorts can't handle.

What dose are you starting on?

Thank you so much for replying it has chilled me out a bit lol I will def take a fan into my bedroom then I'm starting on 50mg my progesterone was at 6 so not sure if this dose will even work? What was your progesterone level at? X

I don't remember what my progesterone was before clomid. I think in the 20s or 30s. My first 50mg cycle, I ovulated about 8 days earlier then my natural cycles(day 18 instead of 25, I have PCOS) . Do you ovulate without clomid?

The doctor said I possible ovulate every 18 months I also have pcos x

Well I'm fine didn't sleep too well and have a headache but that's about IT small price to pay I'd say providing it works lol feeling grateful I have such mild side effects x

I wish it had I spoke too soon I know have what feels like every symptom going! I'm exhausted I really hope it works this month as really not looking forward to another round of this I'm just hoping that all these side affects are sign it's working????? X

I have PCOS and took Clomid to have this baby!! My main side effects were constant hot flushes (seriously....I was on fire for 5 days straight!) and ovarian pains during ovulation which I've never had with natural ovulation. I liked that because it reminded me that something was going on! 50mg didn't work for me but 100mg gave me ridiculously high progesterone of between 90 and 120!

3rd round of 100mg did the trick

Congratulations! So lovely to hear it works I really hope it works it's been such a long time now I hope I feel ovulation too as I've never felt it as barely ovulate myself my progesterone was at 7! What was your progesterone level at before clomid? X

Sorry I've just seen this! I don't know what my regular levels were, but after 50mg I was only 1.5! 100mg was the magic number though, I definitely felt ovulation cramps all day then seriously...a 'pop' in the evening! It was that clear! My ovulation symptoms were actually stronger on the 2 rounds that I didn't conceive, but most likely my body was just getting used to the effects

I am also going to be trying clomid soon as well. I have been taking metformin for 6 months and did not ovulate on my own until about the third month of taking the metformin. Are you on that as well? Hope the clomid works for you and you get your BFP soon!!!

I am on my first round of clomid, I have had no side effects which I hate as I feel like it isn't working! But hopefully when I have some tests on Monday and Tuesday I will get given some answers as to if it is working or not, I really really hope so!!

Libbymarks- don't worry, I didn't have any Clomid side effects in my first cycle (50mg), but I know for sure I ovulated because we conceived (unfortunately that pregnancy didn't last though). So even if you don't have any side effects, it doesn't mean it's not working! I'm on my 4th day of Clomid now and haven't had any side effects this time either.

Op how is everything going? We conceived on our first round of Clomid 50mg. I don't know what my progesterone was at, but I know I ovulated before I normally did, day 16 instead of day 21, and when I went for a sono to see how many eggs there were there were none. They told me to call them when I get my period so I could up my dose, but low and behold I never got my period. They just missed the window. I don't remember any side effects though. They told me I might dry up so I compensated with preseed as well as softcups and combined they worked!
