My daughter will be two months old on monday and up until the last two weeks she would eat 3-4 ounces every bottle ever 3-4 hours even at night. i was ok with getting up with her at night then. lately she has been so out of wack its starting to wear on me.sometimes she will eat 1 oz then 2 hours later eat 4 then 4 hours later eat 2oz so on and so forth. I cant get her back into routine and i cant just leave her crying and make her wait longer for a bottle. i feel like im going crazy and dont know what to do. She is not gassy or anything. and i know shes hungry cuz she screams and sucks at her hands and nothing calms her down except the bottle. she spits out her soother if i give it to her. has anyone else been through this or have any advice on what i can do to get her back into routine. ive tried bed at the same time every night and a bath before the bottle then bed. i just dont know what to do anymore and the lack of sleep is starting to get to me. plz help

Could it be a growth spurt? Sorry, I don't FF so I don't have a huge amount of knowledge on how many oz etc they should be having but I know that when Scarlett has growth spurts she gets really antsy and won't feed properly. Or could it be wind or something like that? Maybe trying giving infacol or gripe water? x

I never thought about a growth spurt. that may be it. thanks. its not gas for sure. i have been putting some gripe water in her bottles the last few days and she has almost no gas but is still being fussy. ill see if it goes away in the next week if not ill probably take her back to the pediatrician

We are going through the same, last night he had 1-2 ounces and woke up every 1-1.5 hours, we were exhausted. I think it is a growth spurt because he is sleeping a lot more during the day and seems older lol! Don't restrict his feeding go with the flow, i know it is hard to do it but it will get better.

Thanks SRTbaby. its nice to know im not the only one. I cant wait for her to get into a proper routine. im so jealous of all the women who's babies sleep through the night. Im so looking forward to that.

It's a growth spurt. My LO still does this on occasion and I promise it will subside soon - but just try and get through it. If she is FF, can you have someone help out on occasion so you can get a break?

I wish I had someone who could help out. My husband and i just moved to a new city far from out family for his job so that is out of the question and his job requires that he be well rested and alert or someone could get hurt or die. He is an air traffic controller. he does help out of weekends though so i do get a bit of a break then.
