Hello everyone...
I'm a first time Dad...
Before Xavier was born we both agreed that we would share the
parental leave. My wife would stay home the first four months,
and I would stay the following five. It made allot of sense financially
and I liked the idea of taking a break and staying home to do some renovations.
(ok this is the part were you can start laughing)
I've been home 3 months now... I've only achieved 10% of the work
I had set out to do. My wife encourages me by saying that taking care of
our son is the work that I stayed home to do.
However it seems that with the holidays past and the cold
winter settled in, I'm beginning to find it difficult.
I've become more irritable and my patience is wearing thin.
My son is almost 7 months old...
(I don't like the how many weeks thing... I'm a guy)
He is a good boy. He sleeps well at night and usually only cries
when there is something really wrong.
However he is teething and the constant whining is wearing me down.
I found this forum... read some entries and found it very interesting.
My hopes are just to find some help and encouragement in this most important task of taking care of my son.
Thank you in advance...
Xavier
