My son has been daytime potty trained since BEFORE he was TWO! Not saying this to brag, saying this because it's been OVER TWO YEARS and he STILL wears a diaper to bed or he will pee the bed, guaranteed!
I've heard it's a developmental thing? But my 2 year old girl took a little longer to daytime potty train than my son did but she stays dry and holds it at night no problem, or she wakes up to potty at some point and goes back to sleep.
I don't even think about his potty schedule during the day at all, I dunno when he goes but he hasn't had an accident in....about 2 years or so. My DD, I keep track of how often she potties and make sure she goes about every 2.5 hours so she doesn't get distracted and have an accident. But during the night, I trust her 100% to stay dry more than him.
Every once in a while, my husband and I get determined to help him stay dry at night. The problem is, even with limiting liquids and taking him potty at midnight, he goes at least TWICE at night. So I take him at midnight, he pees the bed at 3 am. I'm already getting up to nurse my 7 mo. old and getting up to take my 4 year old potty twice just doesn't seem worth it at all.
Just wondering if you guys are going to say what I've seen on the internet, it just takes longer for some kids? It's gonna take time and there's nothing I can do? We took him at midnight last night and he still peed the bed, DD woke to potty at 2 am and stayed dry, as usual.
