Stocking up on diapers

Target has a deal right now where if you spend 100$ on baby wipes, diapers, or training pants, you get a $25 coupon.

I am debating whether this would be good or not?

I currently have 1 box of nb (88 count) and two boxes of size 1 (100 and 148 count).

I want to take advantage of this deal and stock up on some wipes and one more package of pull-ups for DD (currently transitioning from pull-ups to undies or working on it anyways lol), but I don't know what sizes to get for baby? I was going to get one big box of size 1 and one of size 2, but they are all out of size 2!

Or should I just skip this deal all together and wait until baby comes? I have a fairly good stock like started, plus I will get some at the hospital so I likely won't have to get any for at least a month after baby is born.

My DS1 and DS2 seemed to spend the most time is size 3 diapers. Maybe a few boxes of 3? It would be nice if they had 2s but its not like you won't need 3s Usually people give 1s and 2s at baby showers and such

Oooh I want to see if my Target is doing this! I'd take advantage of it! Just get some different sizes, it's pretty unlikely that they'll go to waste.

I probably wouldn't bother, they'll just take up room around your house and in my opinion you're better off waiting til baby's here and see what size you need. X

I'd go for it. As long as you have a place to store them. I've been stockpiling diapers and keeping them on the floor of baby's closet. Gotta take advantage of a deal when it pops up, especially if you have the money because when baby arrives the pocket book might be a little lighter.

My dd has been in size 3 FOREVER. It might be worth it to stock up on some 3's.

That depends entirely on your baby. Some babies are more sensitive then others. I suppose that is a reason to maybe wait. What if your baby is allergic to the brand you chose??? Eeep!
But my boys didn't have any such problems and I just went with whatever was on sale

I wouldn't.

Not even counting sizes, my daughter is 5 months old and I still haven't found the right nappy (diaper) brand for us. Bad fit, leaks etc. We're yet to find what works best.

I went and got some pull-ups (2packs) and another pack of size 1 and then 3 big boxes of wipes. I use wipes for everything from wiping DDs face to cleaning her tray lol. We go through them fast. Plus, I got a $5 gift card because I bought three things of wipes and then I got the $25 because I spent $100! I'm happy with my purchases lol.. Plus, if I end up not needing certain sizes or whatever, my best friend is habit a baby next month and my step sister is having one the month after me so I have options on who to give theK too

Good idea on the wipes! I was going to suggest getting wipes, you will always use them.

I wouldn't switch brands. I've used Pampers and at my shower I got different varieties and so I used a pack of Huggies and after two diapers her bump was turning red. Same with the wipes. I've always used Pampers Sensitive and I used a pack of Pampers Aloe Vera ones and again, made her red.

DD was 8lbs 7oz at birth so we were in 1s right away. We only used 1s for about a month and moved onto to 2s. She'll be 5 months tomorrow and I'm going to move her into 3s after I finish this back. The 2s are starting to be getting a little tight, and she's waking up really wet. So stocking up on 3s is good!

If you don't know what brand you prefer (as in you haven't already had a baby) It's a good idea to get different brands. That's what we did with DD and it was nice to try different ones to see which worked for us.
This time around we're buying the ones we preferred with her and storing them in the closet. If it turns out this one is allergic to them or they don't work out for her, I have lots of friends/family with babies, or i'll just sell them on one of the local resale pages so I don't see it as a waste at all.

I don't really see a problem because you can exchange if left unopen for another size or brand. At least here!

I think Target is having a baby sale (on everything, I've heard) starting this Sunday. Not sure of the details, but I've loaded up on coupons and will load up stuff on their Cartwheel app. I'm having twins, so I need to majorly stock up on diapers and wipes.
