Stockings - yes or no?

I always do stockings and always had them as a child (I still get one ) I find them so magical thinking Santa popped it on the bottom of your bed :santa: I put fun little things wrapped in Christmas tissue.

I like to pop in the following type of things:

- Colouring pens/crayons
- hair clips/bobbles
- Chocolate coins
- Christmas socks
- small lego
etc

We have always done stocking - as in actual socks!!! We hang them up and fruit, sweets, chocolate and a small gift are put. When we where wee we each used one of my dad's socks, for my Ds's first Christmas I asked my brother for one of his socks - he arrived with a knee high pair of his insisting that he needed to have one too (he was 45!!), we've used the same ones every year since. I stopped putting one up for myself when I was a teenager but last Christmas I came down in the morning to find one hanging for me (Ds and my brother arranged it)

I did stockings before with my oldest..
Haven't done it in a while... I think I'll give it a go again this year
