Stopping vitex after BFP

Hi ladies- advise needed. Got any of you that were taking vitex- once you got your BFP did you stop right away, taper down your dose or keep taking it? I have read so many different opinions- some saying it shouldn't be taken in pregnancy, some saying it can help prevent early losses if taken in first tri... What did you ladies do?

From my understanding one should stop or wean off of it soon after getting the bfp. I would just stop, myself, but if you don't feel comfortable with that you should consult a professional.... Which, unfortunately, is NOT a doctor or anyone in the medical profession. Asking them a question about an uncommon herbal supplemental is akin to asking them about quantum physics. They just have no clue.

I had also heard about taking vitex in first tri to prevent miscarriage, but it seemed to me like most people leaned on going off of it completely.
