Stressing Myself Out After Positive Test; Just Want To Be Sure! Please Help..

So this morning, I used my FMU & got a "yes" on the First Response Gold Digital Test. & I was ecstatic. I called my ob/gyn instead of my infertitlity doctor, and they didn't think I should come in for a blood test; To just wait until I was 7 weeks & come in for an ultrasound. But I'll explain the whole story about WHY I'm stressing..

I took the Ovidrel shot 12 days ago. On day 5 of the shot, it tested positive for still in my system. I retested 2 days later, & it tested negative. I retested 2 days after that, & I was still negative. Now, I retested 2 days after THAT (which ends up being today), & it was positive. I'm 11dpo.

I took the First Response with my FMU, & like I said, it came back positive.. But about 3 hours later, I went to a women's center down the street (just to see what they'd say), & it was negative.. I did urinate right before I had left to go there, & had had a little bit of water before my test.. I read online a lot of instances it's just that my urine was diluted too much, & that's why I got a bfn later? Is that true?

Second question... Could for SOME reason, even though I've tested TWICE before this & it was negative, could it still be the shot??

Sorry for all of the questions; I'm just so nervous & anxious, & of course by the time I got home to charge my phone, my doctors office was closed so I couldn't call them with my concerns. )0: Trying to keep hope, though...

Hi Sher I'm afraid I don't know anything about Ovidrel, but I didn't want to read and run. You def. should call your doc tomorrow with your concerns, it's such a pain they didn't just tell you to come right in for a blood test

As for the test at the clinic, a good friend of mine went to a clinic when she thought she was pregnant a couple of years ago and got a false negative. She had spotting all through her first trimester, and didn't realise she was preggers until her 20th week....she even joined a gym because of the weight gain SO I'd say there's still hope.

For what it's worth, my advice is to try and relax tonight (I know, easier said than done) and take another test tomorrow. AND call that doctor again!

The tesgt at the womens clinic are the same as the dollar store test( atleast the one by me are) I don't know how sensitive those are? I mean being only 11 dpo it could def be a false neg. Goodluck

Sounds to me like you're pregnant! I don't know too much about ovidrel, just that it is hcg taken to help your follicles mature, right? What I do know about it (a friend took it to conceive her son), is that if you get negative HPT's before getting your positive, then that is a sign that the ovidrel has left your system and you shouldn't get any false positives after that, so the fact that you had negatives before your positive, to me, is a good indication that it had left your system and that you're likely pregnant. 11dpo is still VERY early, so the clinic you went to more than likely would not have given you a positive because they use cheap tests.

I would do another 1st Response tomorrow with FMU, the one that gives you two lines (not digital), I got my BFP on that test at 10dpo very very clearly.
