Hi, I need a bit of advice on how to deal with a massive ammonia build up. I have got some washing soda, could I use this to do a strip wash, and if so how would I go about it?

I have a front loader washing machine and very soft water. Please don't suggest I try dishwasher tablets, I have and this goes way beyond their effectiveness!

TIA

I have soaked mine in hot water with a cup of washing soda for a few hours, or even overnight, then I washed with a larger than normal dose of laundry detergent and rinsed until the soap was gone.

Now I toss a couple tablespoons of washing soda in with every wash as maintenance :)
