Is anyone else getting them a LOT? Mine started this time round at about 20 weeks and they are getting so strong the past week.

I had them with my son and actually ended up getting checked over a few times to make sure it was just Braxton Hicks.

I feel like if I say I'm getting them that people look at me like....really?? Already etc etc.

I don't actually know what they feel like if I'm being honest. I'm still cramps a lot but I don't get tightenings if that's what it's like?

I'm still much earlier on than you, but in my first pregnancy I got them A LOT, pretty much around 24 weeks or so they started. My uterus is "excitable" (my midwife likes this term better than "irritable") so anything can cause them: gas, having to pee, rubbing my tummy, baby moving a lot... it was pretty bothersome and I am not looking forward to it again!
You know the drill at this point since you are on pregnancy #2, but as with anything, if you get concerned, get it checked out. Most likely it's just going to be bothersome as opposed to dangerous.

No, it's not really like cramping to me. It's like my uterus literally turns into a hard ball. It doesn't hurt, but it is uncomfortable and causes pressure in my abdomen. Not like labor pressure, but closer to my lungs and diaphragm if that makes sense. I used to think it was baby getting into an uncomfy position all curled up, but it was actually Braxton-Hicks.

I've been having some VERY strong BH this pregnancy and they're a lot more frequent at this stage than they were in my first pregnancy.

I have been wondering if there's any correlation between BH and when you go into labour but I guess not :wacko:

I had stong BH last time and baby came 9 days early.
