I just want to share my situation on here and see if anyone else is going through the same struggle, or has done and succeeded in getting pregnant and having a baby.

I got pregnant in 2013 and suffered a miscarriage at 8 weeks. This was a completely unplanned pregnancy however it was still devastating.

I have now been trying for 5 months and usually try to conceive when I am ovulating. However it is still not happening which feels soul crushing.

This month I had pregnancy like symptoms and my period was over a week late, however it arrived yesterday and destroyed all hopes of me being pregnant.

I would like to know how I can find out when exactly I ovulate. I have used techniques such as calculating and having sex on and around the 14th day of my cycle but this is not working at all.

If anyone has any good advice for me please let me know. Thanks xx

I personally haven't used opks, which I know a lot of people swear by. I just used the fertility friend app to track my cycle and my basal body temperature. Hopefully if you track your temp it'll assure you that you are in fact ovulating and you'll have an idea around what cycle day you ovulate. If you track it for a while and it still doesn't happen I'd go to a doctor and start asking questions. Good luck!

Oh yeah and I got in the habit of waiting a while after having sex before getting up or going pee. A lot of people say that it doesn't make a difference but I swear it worked for me and it can't hurt.

Join fertility friend and do temping, i highly recommend it, its a sure way to tell you are ovulating and you will learn how your cycle works because everyones is different, good luck x

Hey girl.

I would say I have a somewhat similar situation as you. Not completely, though.

When I was 20, two months before turning 21, we started NTNP. We did that until I turned 21 in January and then we started actively TTC. I found out I was pregnant in July and carried to term.

When she turned 1, we started TTC again and I was 23. We got pregnant in 3 months surprisingly, but miscarried at 6 weeks naturally. We started TTC immediately and got pregnant in 4 cycles. It also ended in miscarriage, we found out at 11 weeks and had a d&c at 12 weeks in January. I'm now 24 and we have been TTC for a year now and we also have 2-3 suspected chemical pregnancies.

You can message me anytime and if you click my profile I also have a journal.

I suggest temping. It is super easy once you get the hang of it. You buy a BBT thermometer and take your temperature first thing in the morning. I don't wake up at the same time so I take it at 7:45 am, that works best for me. The thermometer will keep the time, so I lay it down and look at it when I get up and put it in my phone (FertilityFriend app). Doing this all cycle will show you when you ovulate and will be very helpful! Opk's are aggravating in my opinion but I do need to use them sometimes as I don't see fertile cm and always ovulate at a different time.

Also, not everyone ovulates on cd14. How long are your cycles? I'm betting you ovulate later than cd14. If you tell me how long your cycles are I'll tell you when to have sex :)

We are in exactly the same boat. I've had one miscarriage in June and haven't had any luck sense then. I'm usually a 27 day cycle but last month i was 36. I just purchased some of the ovulation test strips off ebay. I got 100 for really cheap. Found out this month that I have been timing all wrong. Hoping this month we have better luck.

If you ever need to vent or talk please feel free to inbox me. It's so stressful :(
