Really struggling to stick to a boys name. Would ideally like first name to go with 'James' as a middle name. We like more traditional boys names but friends and family have already used George, Matthew, Thomas, Michael, John, Henry. Would appreciate any suggestions in similar line to these.

William could be a possibility but just doesn't feel right somehow

Any inspiration?

I love the name William!

Harry, Edward, Daniel, Samuel, Benjamin

Andrew, Robert, Simon?
Good luck!! I know its hard!

Adam, Albert, Jonathan, Harold, Richard, Rufus, Mathias, Stephan (steh-fahn), Florian, Karl, Joseph...

I've always liked August James... Not quite as common but still royal/conservative/old-fashioned sounding to me. William James is nice though

I loved Isaiah but my husband doesn't. Isaiah James sounds nice.

Thanks for ideas - nothing is jumping out at us at the moment though.

Zooma- I love August James for someone else but its not us.

Its amazing - you don't realise how many people you dont like until you tried to name a baby! Xxx

Benjamin, Charles, Peter, Robert, David, Richard, Theodore, Vincent, Daniel, Andrew, Stephen, Nicholas, Nathaniel

Its hard naming babies! You'll find the just right name for you!

Peter
Daniel
Matthew
Mark

Good luck

I think Christopher is a nice traditional name. My baby will have that as a middle name if it is a boy.

Charles, David, Henry, Jack, Louis and Samuel are some other classic sort of names.

Harry, Oscar, Charles, Nathan, Peter, Richard, miles, Jack, Jacob, Arthur, Archer, Joseph, Nathaniel, Matthew, Harrison, Samuel, Benjamin

Boys names are so hard!! I love the name William but I know what you mean when it just doesn't feel right. We're stuck on two boys' names right now and I'm not sold on either one.

Other names: Alexander, Sebastian, Christopher, Adam, Edward, Eric, Lucas, Philip, Nolan, Joseph, Ryan, Jack, Patrick

My boys are Alexander, William and Andrew. Good luck choosing xxx

My husband wanted the name James because his middle name is James. I didn't, so we compromised and went with James as the middle name. We struggled to agree on a boys name and neither of us knew we actually liked this name until we put it with James. We named our son Isaac James. Now we are struggling once again with a boy name because we won't find out what we are having until birth.
