DS s 12 months actual ( 13in a few days) and a 29 wkr, so 10 mos corrected. He sometimes sttn, sometimes not. He goes through teething like something horrible. He goes down arou d 7-730, then may wake up crying for his pacifier. If he can't locate it himself I will fish for it in the crib and put it in. This is usually around 11:30. Then somewhere around 1-2 he will wake up crying and screaming. We go in and pat him or rock him and usually he will fall back asleep but sometimes it is a half hour into being awake and he is still fussing. We give him a bottle then because he really is growing a lot too. 15th percentile length for actual age and slim. His growth chart is a line, not a curve. He eats well during the day but once a week or so we have to do a bottle. We have let him cry sometimes, and he goes wild in the crib. Pulls himself up, hits the mobile And music on and off, falls over, sometimes throws up. Is the CIO method ok for preemies with bpd and cld? What would you do? Forgot to add that he wakes about 6for the day and naps 10am on for 1.5-2.5 hrs

Keira didn't sleep through the night until she started daycare when I went back to work when she was 12 months (9 months adjusted - she was a 29 weeker too). I realized some of it was that she was napping too much during the day and not getting enough activity. Figuring that out was like magic for us. On the odd time she wakes up in the night I never give her milk if she will not settle as that can make it a habit. I offer water only.

We also only did very controlled cio... I only let her cry if I knew it was frustration over being tired. She does a little cry when she is trying to settle herself to bed and I think that is OK. However if she is crying and it is obvious that is more than that I will go in and help her settle and try again. I wouldn't ever let her CIO if it was obvious she were distressed as I don't think that really helps.

Good luck!

Alex doesn't sttn at all at 19 months (16months corrected) and feeds twice a night. I've just gotten used to it as I know he needs it x

If he throws up, i wouldnt recommend CIO hun - I imagine that could make him worse.
