Hello Ladies,

I went for my dating scan yesterday and during my scan they found that I have a large haematoma. In the report it said that is was 'superior to the gestational sac' and measures 60 x 22 mm. I presume this means it is bigger than the gestational sac which means it is not good news :( The baby was bang on my dates and bouncing around though but it still has room to do so.

They also found a left adnexal cyst which I think is a cyst on my left ovary which was not mentioned to me during the scan but on the report.
I am meant to be having a colposcopy next week but I have read that any vaginal examinations or sex should be avoided.

I am torn as to what to do as I need to protect this baby but have to think about my other children too. I don't have any appointments now with my consultant until 16th july and I am going out of my mind with worry.

Please help me :(

:hugs: I've just been in a similar situation. My LO was born this morning though. I had a sch that grew to a huge 15cm and yes it did bleed and was very stressful (he's my 5th child) but we made it through. I cant recommend resting enough, the more you can get your feet up the better, a nightmare with lots of kids but makes a huge difference  PLenty of fluids, pelvic rest and taking it easy. Thinking of you hun and if I can help more then please ask away:hugs:

Thankyou and congratulations on the safe arrival of your baby! Well done and lots of hugs to you both xxx

Hey superior means above. I had a large one which bled, was on bed rest. All is fine now. Also I had the cyst which I was told was normal. Try to not stress, easier said then done. I would ask about the colposcopy. Hope all works out.

I had a decent size sch as well and it bled from 4 weeks til 12 weeks. Very scary but we made it through. I am now 34 weeks pregnant now. I also had a cyst whih I was told was normal and can actually go away on its own and it did.

I also have a SH....my heart sank a little when they saw it there this morning on an emergency scan due to a bleed yesterday. This is what happened in my last pregnancy and it didn't end well and I can't help but feel the same this time round

:hugs: to you :flower:

I had a massive one too, it surrounded 2 1/3rds of the sac at one point, I bled until 14 weeks sometimes just like af with full on cramps. Was a really scary time but as pp said rest is the best thing and always seemed to stop the bleeding.
I was due a smear at the beginning of pregnancy and drs wouldn't do it (had lots of abnormal, biopsy and have to have them 6 monthly) so I would seek advice about this first

I didnt have it done and my Dr was way out of line. He said after looking at my notes that it looks like something must have happened when the baby started developing and that I will most likely lose the baby anyway! What a dickhead!!
