Just had my 8 week ultrasound, and heart beat looked good, and size was right on track! But my doctor did see I have an implantation bleed, or subchorionic hemorrhage. It only measured 1 cm, and she said it was in an okay position, i.e. not above my cervix. But she really didn't tell me much else...she said we had to abstain from intercourse until they do another ultrasound in 2 weeks, but didn't say anything about resting otherwise....should I also be taking it easy and not doing light exercise? I usually walk about 2 miles in the evening, and do some strength exercises similar to yoga....but if I SHOULD abstain even from these for a couple weeks, I obviously will....I don't want to jeopardize my little one! What would people's advice be?? Have your doctors asked you to abstain from more than just intercourse?

I've been told to go on pelvic rest-no sex pretty much-when I've had subchorionic hematomas and to avoid lifting. If you've been doing yoga and walking (both of which are low impact exercises anyway) all along, then you are probably fine continuing them unless you start spotting after. And mild spotting isn't an issue either with the SCH as it's most likely just the old bleed working it's way out. I would alter your yoga positions to accommodate your pregnancy though.

I would personally be cutting out all exercise until the SCH resolves. I lost a baby to a SCH and found that the more I did, even light walking the dogs in the evening, made me bleed a hell of a lot more. The more I rested, the better the bleeding was. Unfortunately the SCH just kept growing (was already bigger than baby to begin with) and it didn't turn out well.

There's a SCH group somewhere on the forum (sorry I tried to find the URL but couldn't :haha:) with support. Most women find that with resting and taking it easy the SCH does end up resolving.

Best of luck to you! :hugs:
