I just this morning got yet another BFP after 4 consecutive miscarriages. One in May 2012, Sept 2015, Dec 2015, Mar 2016.. I've caught again straight away after my last mc without AF inbetween. Has anyone been in a similar situation and gone on to have a happy healthy pregnancy? I'm worried about how I will cope if it happens again. I've had all my blood work done and everything came back fine, I was due to be back to see my consultant on the 25th of this month to discuss further tests after my most recent loss. Should I still go ahead with this appointment or should I cancel and go through my GP???

Congrats on your bfp. Yes I'd keep your appointment, They may suggest a treatment plan such as asprin that may help in this pregnancy. There is hope, I had 16 losses while ttc number 2. All unexplained except for my daughter I lost later on. I then went on to have my rainbow daughter and am now expecting again. I really hope this is your rainbow, your deserve it! Good luck.

Hi this sounds like my story! I was being seen by a consultant having tests done for recurrent mc when I found out I was pregnant. She's going to be 3 in August. They never found a reason for the miscarriages. I kept my appointments and they told me to see the gp who referred me to an early pregnancy unit who scanned me every two weeks till I passed the first trimester. I took cyclogest and aspirins.

Congratulations. Xx

I'm very early in my 7th pregnancy and have only had one live birth--2 mcs before my son and 3 mcs after. All unexplained. My doc just dx me with pcos in Feb after my last mc and started me on metformin. I'm hoping that makes this one stick. ((( hugs))) to you!

Congrats on you BFP. This is my sixth pregnancy in just over a year and is progressing nicely now. I had three early miscarriages (4 weeks and 5 weeks), a missed miscarriage (10 weeks) and an ectopic (8 weeks) which resulted in the loss of my left tube so I think I can go some way to understanding your loss and worry. As you can see, I never made it out of the first trimester until this one and this has been a pretty smooth sailing pregnancy so far (long may that continue). I'm always terrified of losing my little boy but I think that is completely normal for someone who has experienced a loss, never mind multiple. I just take each day one day at a time and try to stay positive.

I would keep my appointment if I were you. There might be a treatment plan that they suggest or a course of medication that will give this pregnancy the best chance. Good luck.
