Hi everyone!
I am 12Dpiui, our first, my fmu with 4 different brands of hpt were all negative this morning. I haven't been officially diagnosed with endometriosis but my RE saw a blue node in my vagina two months ago. I am just wondering if anyone has or knows anyone else who has become pregnant with IUI with endo but who has never had a lap to clean it out? My RE said she is hesitant to do a lap because endo diagnosis wouldn't change my treatment of Clomid/ injectables combo with iui. I am just looking for a shred of hope.... I am so desperate to become a parent that it really hurts every month when I get a negative hpt. I don't know what to do....

I'm having a lap wed and endo is suspected. I would be of the thinking that even if you were to be on the same meds after a lap, you would be endo free after it. I'm sure I've also read somewhere that endo has an impact on hormones and in turn has a negative effect on ttc. I would look into it. But there may be some ladies on here able to give you a better answer. x

Thanks Cooch I will definitely check out the website. My RE said that the reason she has me on Clomid and menopur even though I ovulate on my own is to try and counteract the suspected endo. Good luck with your lap!

Don't loose hope. I am sure that people with endo doing IUI get pregnant all the time since most people with infertility actually have endo without knowing about it.
Also many people with endo have children naturally even in spite of severe endo.
I wish you all the best,
Amber (diagnosed with endo almost 5 years ago)

I have endo too but i actually had the lap and dye and they (supposedly) got rid of it. Feel no different each month though since it! Getting iui in April 2012, fingers crossed for BFP!

Thanks everyone for the great responses and insight to endo. My first IUI failed and the RE has said that my best chance is ivf. I emailed her with my concerns and she basically said she can't help me since her office doesn't do ivf. We can't afford ivf anyways. I think that since I don't have the usual painful symptoms of endo and I did have a natural conception that ended in miscarriage last year I'm going to hold off on the lap for a while. My miscarriage was conceived 9 months after I went off the pill which is what they use to treat endo if the patient isn't trying to get pregnant. I'm going to try going on the pill for like a year and then try to conceive right after I go off it. If that doesn't work then I will look into having a lap. I don't know the extent or stage of my endo except that it is visible in my vagina, it doesn't give me much pain and my tubes are clear and I probably don't have adhesions. I am cautiously optimistic about my odds.
