Hey :flower:
I am still pondering baby boy names and I came across the name Brett. My OH like's the name as well, now given that baby will be taking his surname would the name Brett De La-Nourgerede be TOO french?
Any other suggestions are welcome!

I wouldn't have thought of Brett as a French name, but regardless I don't think a name can be too French. I'd love to have a French surname!

Brett sounds more American than French to me. I think it works well with the surname though.

Same as other posters, I thought Brett was an American name. Nice name though and think it works! French surnames are lovely, my OH is French and I love our children's names with his surname.

I don't see Brett as a French name... But I like the name together.

I also thought Brett was more American! I love the way the name sounds together. So sophisticated.

Yep, saw it as American too.

If you go with a French name it will just surprise people when they talk in a Scottish accent.

I thought when I first heard the name Brett that it was an American name, but it is of French origin meaning "a Breton", referring to an inhabitant of Brittany apparently.
