Well my DH has said when my bcp packets finish in July next year he would like us to ttc - which I am more then happy to do.
I just have suddenly began to worry incase something is wrong with me or DH - what if I can't give him what he wants .... Is this normal?
Seemed to worry since he said for the go ahead - anyone else feel/ felt like this?

YOU ARE NORMAL
I thought the same thing and i shared it with my fiance and he said how bout if i cant? He says i should be able to because i do already have a son. If anything it would be him. But i think even though i had a miscarriage we are both fine. Your feelings are perfectly normal. My fiance did say dont worry we could adopt if it came down to it. You'll be okay :winkwink:

Definitely normal hun. I expect many women think the same thing. I know I did. Try and relax and enjoy TTC :D

I feel exactly the same! I think a lot of men and women do. I think it's partially because it's ingrained into our brains as young women that "one accident without a condom and you're pregnant and your life is RUINED forEVER!" and actually taking the step to choose to conceive becomes terrifying - especially if it doesn't work after the first attempt!!
:hugs:

Oh, I'm totally worried! Mostly bc it took my mom five years to concieve! And her sister had a hysterectomy before she got a chance to have children. Being 28 doesn't help either, bc it may take us 2 years yet to ttc.. Oh, and sil is doing ivf!
It seems so difficult to get preggo, doesn't it?
So I've already considered my alternatives - ivf, egg donation, embryo donation and adoption. I've talked about this with OH and he's cool about the options so I'm a lot calmer now.
Have you talked to your OH about your fears? I think it might help you!

oh it's very very natural to be worried and concerned. We've already had one miscarriage and have done the "not try not prevent" type method with no results before deciding to not try at all then bounced back to "oh let's try starting around Christmas!" -- there's always that niggling doubt in the back of your brain and constant worry associated with the idea of getting pregnant or trying to become pregnant. It causes a lot of stress. I think it's wise to try and adopt the idea of "well... if it happens, it happens. If it doesn't? I have a wonderful husband and we can adopt or just have a crap ton of animals and live happily ever after, the end." Easier said then done, I know.

I worry about this ALL THE TIME! and I completely agree with whoever said that it's partly the attitude we're fed as young adults that 'one slip up and you'll be pregnant'. I've messed up my pills before, sometimes forgotten 3 or 4, but I've never had a BFP. It makes me feel like there's something wrong with me! Especially when 3 women I know got pregnant because they 'missed a pill'.

I have talked to my OH but he actually made me more scared. I always figured that if we couldn't then we'd adopt but he saw his cousin's adoption go sour and so he's against the idea, however many times I tell him that most are a success.

I just want to try asap now so we know for sure, and the odds only get worse as we get older don't they?!

Thank you for all your responses - makes me feel alot better :)

I sat done with DH and spoke about my worries and he gave me a huge hug and said he will stand by me no matter what, he loves me and there are options if we experience any problems.

Thanks again x

:hugs: You're going to be amazing. Worry is a sign of a good mommy or mommy to be in this case :) If you WEREN'T worried... Then I'd be concerned.
