I went for my re-scan today. Had to go alone as husband was working and my mum just had an op so is on bedrest for 6 weeks plus my sisters were working.
All went well found out gender aswell we are team pink!! She did say nothing is 100% which I know anyway but I thought I would go to mothercare buy a cute girly sleepsuit and show everyone as my 'gender reveal'. Well it started off badly by my cousin coming with my sister to pick me up. I didnt want her to know as she would tell everyone so just went straight home instead of mothercare. Then I see my nan is there.
Now my nan and me are not on good terms simply because she hates my husband and treats my son different to my baby sister. Her reasons are bullshit. She hears rumours about my husband which she believes without even asking my husband then bad mouths about him to everyone she knows including my parents just to turn everyone against him.
Anyway so husband comes home from work I tell him my nan and cousin are here so he goes in the room and says hello. My cousin replies but my nan totally blanked him just sat there staring at the tv. He waited a minute or so then left to go upstairs.
I told him what happened at the scan and he cheered up. Then I find out my nan is sleeping over so I cant even tell everyone together about the gender. She is the last person on earth I want to tell.
I told my mum in the bloody toilet about the gender so my nan cant overhear. This is not what I planned.
I just feel like my day started out so good and her just being in this house ruined it all.

So sorry your plans got ruined :( I understand the huge disappointment when plans go to crap!

I'm sorry to hear this. I know what it's like when things go awry. It's especially disappointing when you had some expectations for how it would go. It sucks when other people throw a wrench in things. I wish I had something useful to say.... You can't have a redo unfortunately. Maybe do something nice for yourself to take your mind off it. Congratulations on your little girl!
