I was looking at some winter weight muslin swaddle cloths online but they are out of stock. My mother is keen to get them or something like them for me and as an alternative found a website that sells flannel in lots and lots of prints. Would blanket weight flannel be too heavy for a winter swaddle cloth? I'm kind of thinking it would be, but don't know.

Since she is so keen to get some for me I may just ask for some fat quarters or something to make reusable wipes out of.
