Swine Flu....

Im in 2 minds about this, obviously its awful but theres a little big part of me that wonders if I can use it to persuade hubby that MIL cant come visit in sept ( she lives san diego, close to mexico right!)
Obviously now ive said this she will still come and then i'll catch it:dohh:

I'm not particularly concerned. The media has a habit of blowing this kind of thing way out of proportion. I've been checking the world health organisation website for their most uptodate info, since they are responsible for handling the potential crisis. According to their website there aren't anywhere near as many deaths or confirmed cases as the media are claiming https://www.who.int/en/ It's also worth remembering that here in the UK there is a influenza epidemic every year from which people die (obviously mainly the elderly). It may not have the potential to reach the level of pandemic that the swine flu could hit, but when you measure the UK swine flu cases against the yearly influenza epidemics which have previously occurred in the UK it's nowhere near a crisis here yet.

Good news for everyone.. they are now "admititing" or saying that the Swine Flu is not as bad as they originally thought.. :)

Yeahh at first i was really worried about it, but not very much now :) x

Correct me if im wrong but I dont think there has been over 200 deaths.... I thought it was more like 30. I think the media are scare mongering....

This is the information from the World Health Organisation. Dont believe everything you hear on the news.
