Hey, I was just wondering if any of you have any experience of this.
My LO sleeps in a swinging crib next to my bed. My plan was to keep him in it until 4 months then move him to his own room. However I have recently been wondering, is he likely to start rolling over by 4 months? And if he does, can he safely stay in a swinging crib once he can? If he rolls will the crib tip? I can lock it stationary, should I do this once he starts trying to roll?

Thanks in advance if anyone knows

he may likely roll over, but it can sometimes be by accident. I personally wouldn't use it if he is rolling over

Thanks for your reply, I was worried it was one of those silly first time mum questions!!

Mine swings and even as a newborn if I didn't lock it at night then she'd kinda roll to one side. I sometimes unlock it, rock her to sleep and then lock it again.

I've found that even with it locked you can very slightly rock it which is enough sometimes to get her to sleep.

I used my swinging crib till 7 months when he learnt to roll over in his sleep and bump his head in the process!. I only used the swinging function for when he was fussy as if i did leave it unlocked it seemed unsafe with us sleeping too. So we locked it most of the time. Was a good purchase as my boy needed more room thn a moses coz he was a wriggle bum (still is at13 months!) and hishe cotbed seemed massive for him.
