switching from breast to formula

hi all,

i have 90% decided to switch to formula feeding, ive had enough of breast feeding, my babys 2 wks old.

this last wk ive been giving her both and shes fine with it.

my question is can i just stop breast feeding or do i have to wean her off the breast cos my boobs are so sore,and full, or do i just express and then slowly stop over the wk?

julie.x i was the same but i had to mix feed due to her not gaining enough weight but when i decided to just go onto formula i only feed her the boob on a morning and on a night until my milk dried up so that i never experienced the whole full and sore boobs part it worked for me and only took about a week or two settle down but even now i still leak sometime but have no pain.x.x

thanks, yeah i think il just boob feed her twice a day until it drys up, i find it a hasle boob feeding her x

i loved it even thought it was very demanding and tiring but it just wasn't working but if o have another little one then i will do the same again (mix feed ) so that i dont suffer with engorement or sore boobs lol

i also found i easier to boob feed on a morning as i would just lie in bed with her feeding on the boob better than getting out of bed to make a bottle
