My LO is getting treated for an infection in her lungs with antibiotics (vancomycin) and she was treated earlier as well for a similar infection.
She looked plump yesterday and swelling could be seen below her chin (looked like double chin), arms, legs and parts of her chest. When enquired, doctor replied that this could be because of the ailing infection and would reduce by ongoing treatment.
Doctors also informed that she has low serum albumin (a protien in blood) and this could be because of infection. Anyone has come across this situation. Please advise.
