Tampons and endometriosis

Is it true that wearing tampons cause endometriosis? I've read it does, and I've read it doesn't. I have read the true cause of endometriosis is unknown. Any responses are greatly appreciated.

I've worn tampons since I was a teenager (almost 30 now) without a single problem. If you have concerns, talk to your doctor.
