Does anyone know if i can use aqueous cream or sudocream to rub on a tatoo?

I was told to use bepanthem cream but i havnt got none, i thought it was ok to use sudocream but my mate told me she was told not too?

My advice after 5 tattoos and my OH doing home tattoo's.... dont put nothing on it & when it does scab over (all tattoos will scab) dont pick the scab as it draws the ink back out & another thing.. after scabs fall off if your tattoo is lumpy or bumpy it means the tattooist has gone too deep and ended up giving you a tattoo blow out x

Opinions what to put on it vary by artist to artist and change literally all the time!

I think Sudacrem is probably to thick and might clog this skin but Dettol anitseptic cream is recommended where I go. I think the best thing is to just keep it clean and put nothing on it though.

Like above post defo keep it clean but as i said personally i wouldn't put anything on it x

Apparently Preparation H is the best thing to use on it. I remember we had to go and buy some for my friend after one of her tattoos. We felt the need to point out 'It's for her tattoo!'.

Don't use sudocrem, it has antiseptic in which draws the colour out of the tatoo. When I got my first one done 2 years ago we were told to use hemaroid cream this time I was told to use bepanthen x

Use bepanthen. No sudocrem, and certainly not preperation H. You can get it in asda xxx

In my experience Bepanthen works best for me. I wouldn't use Sudocrem but if you don't have Bepanthen then just use gentle soap and water and nothing else.

Use a water based lotion, nothing oil based. Nothing with fragrance.
Use the thinnest layer and blot away excess with a clean towel.
Don't touch it. Don't be slathering lotion on all day.

Just leave it alone and it will be fine. :)

My Mum and Dad own an aftercare company. Speacilising in tattoo and piercing aftercare have been in the business for 9 years, im biasis but there cream worked for me, my partners tattoo's and they supply over 400 tattoo studios in the uk alone :) XxX

i was told not to put anything on mine, and mine didnt really scab up in the end :)

dont use sudocreme itll bleach your tattoo....i know ive done it!!! baby oil?? vasaline? thats only if you have no bepanthan

i brought a tattoo aftercare lotion thing from the shop where i got mine done.
but if you leave it, it'll be fine.

mine didnt really scab.
but if yours does.
don't pick at it, just put some moisturizer gently over it.
