So my husband was just offered a pretty amazing job with a competing company. His "salary" would increase slightly but he would be offered commission as well. Right now he's making 75k gross salary with about 60k take home including our tax return. At this new job, he'd be considered an independent contractor so we'd have to pay our taxes ourselves. He'd be making 60k a year plus commission which would be about 28k-30k extra. He's going to let his current boss try and match the money to keep him. So... my question is would we get more take home with a 90k gross salary or more with a 90k goss as a independent contractor?
