I am a bit of a coffee addict although I've managed to get it down to one cup a day, sometimes none, but I'm looking for a hot drink alternative. With it still being so cold I can't just drink water and juice all day!! I don't like regular tea but I do drink some herbal ones. I've got a wee stash in my cupboard and I'm just wondering which ones are safe to drink during TTC and more importantly during pregnancy...
Are these ones okay? It'd only be one or two cups a day really...
Redbush (Rooibos)
Camomile
Peppermint
Green

I'm a tea addict so definitely did some research.

Peppermint is fine!! I believe green is okay, just watch the caffeine. Camomile is one to be avoided.

Also, try drinking decaf coffee. I would have one real coffee or tea, and then I'd have a decaf if I still needed the taste of a delicious coffee.

Hi!

I'm no expert on this but as Rooibos is my favorite tea, I've asked around about it and everyone I spoke to said that it is perfectly safe to drink while you are pregnant. I'm glad that you asked this question because I myself am a coffee addict and except for Rooibos, only drink coffee (and water, lots and lots of water).

So to know that peppermint tea is acceptable and green tea in moderation, makes it easier for me to change my bad habits of drinking coffee.

Thanks and I hope that my input helps a bit.

I love rooibos with a little milk, or i look for tea that's very spicy like cinnamon or ginger :)
