We've just switched from 0+ to 3 month+ teat size. Our LO seemed to have trouble getting enough milk out of the smaller size and would just give up after about 4 ounces, but now she is just spitting milk everywhere. Have we moved on to quickly or is she just getting used to it?? She is now drinking all 6 ounces each time.

I'd give it a day or two to see if she gets used to it. I remember when I switched Emma, she would dribble milk everywhere at first, but them after she'd had a few bottles she would be used to it.

same here -- we've just moved Finn onto the next next size, e.g. for six months (he's three and a half) and he spit up the milk for a day or so, now drinks like the little piggo he was before!

best wishes

Our LO is on 6+ Months Nuk size 2 (medium flow) and has been since 2.5-3 weeks old. I can't believe that he requires such a fast flow, but he eats well and doesn't choke on his formula, nor does he vomit or spit up regularly... :) He would freak out when we used the 0M nipples. Weird..

Thanks ladies, will keep trying with the larger ones and see how we get on :)

Have you tried a Vari flow teat?? Our LO is 6 weeks old and he would take nearly an hour to drink a 5oz bottle each other, so as soon as we finished it wouldnt be long before he was due to have another! we changed him from a slow flow teat to a vari flow about a week ago and now he drinks it fine with no problem within about 15mins etc. Health visitor told us to only wind him a few times and to change the teats to calm down the spitting up because we had that problem but he's not doing it so much now :) not sure if this helps but just thought id share xx

I had to change my sons to the 6+. Cause he hated the 0+ and the 3+.

The milk coming out just wasn't fast enough for him he's get frustrated and starting yelling

Now he loves it. He spit up the first time he used though. It takes awhile to get use to it

It's been 4 days now and she's much better with it and drinking much more :) thanks for all the advise
