My baby is 6 weeks old. She often falls asleep when having her bottles and seems to take a long time drinking them. We use Avent bottles and she has size 1 teats. I was wondering whether to move to size 2. My baby really suffers with wind/colic and I am worried that the faster the flow the more she may gulp and the more air she may take down??? Is this the case or is she more likely to take down air if she is working harder sucking number 1 teats?? Hope this makes sense!?! Any ideas??

try them, you can always swap back if she doesnt get on with them yet :)

I found my LO got more wind from the teat being too slow than from being too fast.

I think Avent do a variflow teat, which might be good for you to try - the harder she sucks, the more will come out.

yeh i was gunna say what blah blah blah said the vari flow ones are really good, i had the exact same problem with lily but vari flow teats did the trick xx

Ditto! I would try to #2 teats now. You will need them soon anyway so if they do not work out, then you can just save them a few more weeks. :)
