I have a few questions regarding teen pregnancy and baby showers?
Since I'll be 17 until a week before the baby is supposed to be born, who comes to the baby shower?
We don't have any family that lives in Oregon, all are on the east coast.
And I don't think we have any "family friends" except neighbors, but they're not really "friends"
I know MY friends from school and stuff want to be there, and buy it clothes and such, but I'm just lost.

Do most teens have baby showers?

Did you have a baby shower? Who came to it?

i've been pretty much told that i wont get any baby showers...
people are treating my pregnancy like i have a terminal illness... when i tell people, they're like "oh i'm so sorry!" or "aw, that sucks!"

like honestly. Sure, we're young, but dont we deserve the same kind of perks as other, older preggos?

I asked the same exact thing as my first post on another forum site for teen pregnancy and such, and everyone is saying yes, have one!
SO i guess i'm having one :]. hahaha
I think we deserve them, its just i wonder if some people would think its weird that i'm having one because i'm so young?
LIke i dont want them to think i'm in it for the stuff. I just wanna have a get together and have fun with my friends and family, plus the stuff
lol :] man i sound greedy saying that

I'm having three, lol.
My family's all close enough to drive for a shower, so my family is having one, my grandma has an apartment and they have a room in the basement so I'm having it there.

My boyfriend's family is having one, don't know what we're doing just yet though..

& I'm going to do something with my friends. Probably after the baby, I'll rent a room at a hall or something, so I everyone gets the invite to come see the baby and I don't get bombarded with tons of visits for the first bit.

If I didn't break it up it would be wayyy too big and there'd be nowhere to put all the people. Plus I don't want some of my friends mingling with my aunts and stuff.

well all my friends who know, are talking about it in front of me about how they all want to go shopping for my baby together once i find out what sex it is.
They're almost as excited as i am.

Yes,I had a baby shower.I had it in Spain,on vacation and just my friends were there. If I had it at home my sister and a few family members would probably be there too.

It had a really great time :D

i had one my mum threw it for me all my friends n neighbours came and everyone from her work came 2 cause i went 2 school dere she works at a school was most fun i ever had :)

I wish more english people had baby showers, you pratically get everything given to you lol!

I had a baby shower. I was only 16 when my son was born, so younger than you. At my babyshower I had my friends, my boyfriend's family, my family, and a lot of people my family is close to, including neighbors and such.

All of my friends who have had a baby had a baby shower. Its really your choice who to ask to come, but I think its cool to have family at one, and friends at the other. Thats what I would do.

Something cool my cousin did when she had her shower was she asked that if you bought her any diapers or clothes that they had to be 6+ months or older. Otherwise everyone gets you new born stuff and the baby grows out of EVERYTHING right away. This way you will have a bit of everything. :D

you can always put it on the invitation. :) And I know a few friends have sent invitations like on facebook and stuff. so the word can spread fast. :)
