Tender tummy muscles from crunches?

Hi all,

I recently joined Gymophobics and love it!! Part of my programme was sit ups using a cradle. This was no problem. I then had a review on my programme and the instructor decided to change it to crunches. Not a problem. But I've been doing about 60-65 in 3 mins (its a circuit gym and you spend 3 mins on each section/equiptment). Yesterday morning, my tummy muscles (if you put you hand under your boobs) have felt a bit tender. I feel it more when I bend over. Is this normal? I've only started them 2 sessions ago.

Hope someone can help x x x x
 
I'd say yes but not 100% sure.

When I start exercising area I don't normally do I get tender and achy, can only guess its same type of thing x
 
Thank you. I thought so but wanted to double check. I had the same when I worked on my inner thighs. x x x
 
yep it happened to me when I first started doing crunches
