anyone had experience of their baby tensing up, arching their back ?
i thought it was something to do with teething, then some say its to do with colic?
i've no idea what's going on. Amelia went through it a few weeks ago, for a few days, then it went away.
now she's had it for another few days, so i don't know what's going on.
- i will go and see the doctor if it's not gone away by the end of the week, it's so worrying seeing her get all tense, surely it can't be good for her. xx

my thoughts were colic or maybe reflux. I'd definitely talk to your doctor about it

I put the tensing up down to tummy pain, be it colic, teething or just needing to poop. My LO still does it occasionally, but if i move her into another position (or if she poo's) she usually stops and feeds as normal.

If you are worried then see your doc/HV. You are her mum so you know best when something is not right

arching of the back is a common sign for reflux, is she sick much?

hi hun, glad to have you back on here!!!

Leah used to do this quite a bit, especially when i was rubbing circles on her back when winding - i think it was just wind as when she had a good burp she seemed fine! Although back when we had it quite a bit she was suffering a lot with colic but since then we have been using dr browns bottles and colief drops in her milk and had no episodes of back arching / colic since xxx
